The new HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press is the most technologically advanced sheet–fed digital solution so far. It’s a powerful engine for high volume production of static jobs with run lengths ranging from one-of-a-kind pieces up to thousands, as well as Variable Data Print (VDP) campaigns targeted at hundreds of thousands of recipients.
As a print service provider, we’ve seen the trend in run lengths continue to get shorter. Up until recently, we’ve had to use our offset press to handle the majority of the shorter runs – an uneconomic solution for the current economic climate.
The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press can easily compete in the cost critical short run colour market with a powerful combination of offset quality, productivity, ease-of-use and low cost per copy.
The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press supports an image format of 317 x 464 mm, which gives us the ability to print more copies per sheet for applications such as; tickets, postcards, business cards and book covers which require extra capacity for the spine.
Our HP Indigo 7000 digital press gives you, the client the following benefits:
- 7-color printing, providing the widest digital colour gamut with 4, 6 or 7 colours, Pantone® emulation including Pantone-Goe® .
- Spot colour matching up to 97% of Pantone® Colours.
- Support for a wide range of media, with no decrease in production speed.
- Lower-cost production enabling a higher break-even point with offset printing with run lengths now in the thousands.
- A print resolution of 1219 DPI with 2438 x 2438 HDI in High definition mode.
- 7,200 A4 colour pages per hour printing speeds capable of up to 3mil impressions per month.
A progressive position in the Environment
The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press is designed with several features that are environmentally important and also help to reduce our carbon footprint:
-
Power consumption reduction of 25% per printed page compared to previous presses.
-
An imaging oil recycling system, enabling a reduction of approximately 50% in consumption and waste.
-
Longer lifespan consumables result in the generation of fewer waste materials.
With digital printing in the UK there are virtually no limits to what can be achieved – thanks to the Prime Group the digital printing world is literally your oyster.
